I have worked in hospitals, rehab, nursing homes, residential homes, supported living and community work with different types of people with different ability and needs including dementia, challenging behaviour, epilepsy, cerebral palsy, dysphagia, stroke, para, hemi and quadriplegia, autism and learning disability.
Some of the tasks I have done include all types of personal care and moving and handling from minor support to full. Support with eating and drinking including, diet, shopping, meal planning, cooking simple meals, eating and drinking, SALT soft/puree diets and PEG care. Attending medical appointments, organising and supporting through various activities from a bit of shopping to swimming, rock climbing for wheelchairs and supported holidays.

 I work as support worker/ personal assistant for people in the local community and foot health practitioner.

I have over 20 years experience in care and I am confident in medication administration, all aspects of personal care including catheter and stoma care, moving and handling, general household and social support and pet care. I have experience in dementia care, learning difficulties and epilepsy.
